National Voters’ Day (NVD) is observed in India on January 25 every year to commemorate the foundation of the Election Commission of India in 1950. Initiated in 2011, the day aims to promote voter awareness, encourage electoral participation, and highlight the significance of democracy. Celebrations include awareness campaigns, distribution of voter ID cards to new voters, and taking a pledge to uphold democratic values. Each year, NVD is marked with a specific theme to address key aspects of voter inclusivity and participation, reinforcing the importance of free and fair elections in India. In the last three years, the theme was "Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure" for 2023 & 2024 and "Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible, and Participative" for 2022, while the theme for 2025 yet to be announced by ECI.

To commemorate National Voters’ Day, the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab conceptualizes an Election Quiz with Indiastat to enhance voter literacy and engagement. This initiative invites voters from across the state to test their knowledge on voter education and electoral participation to raise awareness and make the election process more interactive. The quiz aims to educate participants on key electoral topics, encourage active participation, and underscore the significance of voting. By offering factual insights into the election process, it fosters voter confidence, serves as a reminder of upcoming elections, and inspires individuals to recognize the impact of their vote on electoral outcomes. It also encourages future voters to register in the electoral roll and actively participate in the voting process.

The main eligibility criterion for participating in the NVD Election Quiz-2025 is possession of a valid resident proof of Punjab, such as an Aadhar card, voter ID card, or student ID card for above 9th class students. This election quiz will be conducted online and can be accessed via a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection. Interested participants need to register on the provided website and will receive access details via email to log in for the exam.

After completing the NVD Election Quiz-2025, participants will be able to view their scores and download their Certificate of Participation. Top scoring person from each district will participate in offline exam at Ludhiana. Winners, as per the rules, will be awarded in a ceremony, the details of which will be communicated soon.

ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ 25 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵੋਟਰ ਦਿਵਸ (NVD) 1950 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। 2011 ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ, ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵੋਟਰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ, ਚੋਣ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਜਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਮੁਹਿੰਮਾਂ, ਨਵੇਂ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਰ ਆਈਡੀ ਕਾਰਡ ਵੰਡਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰੀ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਣ ਲੈਣਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਸਾਲ, NVD ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਪਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਥੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਥੀਮ 2023 ਅਤੇ 2024 ਲਈ "ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਵੋਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ" ਅਤੇ 2022 ਲਈ "ਚੋਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਮਲਿਤ, ਪਹੁੰਚਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ" ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ 2025 ਲਈ ਥੀਮ ਅਜੇ ECI ਦੁਆਰਾ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ।

ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵੋਟਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ, ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਵੋਟਰ ਸਾਖਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੰਡੀਆਸਟੈਟ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਚੋਣ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਦੀ ਕਲਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਰਾਜ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਪਰਸਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਅਤ ਕਰਨਾ, ਸਰਗਰਮ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੇਖਾਂਕਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੱਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਇਹ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਣ ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੋਟ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟਰ ਸੂਚੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

NVD ਚੋਣ ਕੁਇਜ਼-2025 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਮਾਪਦੰਡ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦਾ ਵੈਧ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਸਬੂਤ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਆਧਾਰ ਕਾਰਡ, ਵੋਟਰ ਆਈਡੀ ਕਾਰਡ, ਜਾਂ 9ਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਆਈਡੀ ਕਾਰਡ। ਇਹ ਚੋਣ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਇੰਟਰਨੈੱਟ ਕਨੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ, ਲੈਪਟਾਪ, ਟੈਬਲੇਟ ਜਾਂ ਸਮਾਰਟਫੋਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਐਕਸੈਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਵੈੱਬਸਾਈਟ 'ਤੇ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਲੌਗਇਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਈਮੇਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਵੇਰਵੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

NVD ਚੋਣ ਕੁਇਜ਼-2025 ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਕੋਰ ਦੇਖ ਸਕਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਡਾਊਨਲੋਡ ਕਰ ਸਕਣਗੇ। ਹਰੇਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਕੋਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਔਫਲਾਈਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵੇਰਵਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
